CHALLENGE 24: COACHING FOR LEADERS WORKSHOPS

All successful leaders require a suite of skills and tools to not only be good, but great leaders. My new programme of four workshops provides you with a structured pathway to enable growth. It has been designed to integrate the key soft and hard skills, coupled with some serious business tools to provide you with the foundations for success.

The workshops are held from 09:00 – 12:00 at Pant Yr Ochain, Wrexham LL12 8TY.

The Workshops

Workshop one: Learn to lead… Coaching Leadership
This session will help you understand how to get past the common misconception that soft skills indicate weakness. You will learn what a coaching style of leadership is, and how to access it, harness its strength and make the soft power work for you.

The session will include participation in – or observation of – a live 30-minute coaching session based on the GROW model, and you will also take part in a hands-on coaching session/role playing exercise with your peers.

Workshop two: Use what you’ve already got… Growing a business
In our second session you will have the opportunity to participate in – or observe – a 5 C’s analysis of a business in preparation for expansion. You will also have the chance to see how Orbit or the Single Page Plan can help you prepare detailed growth plans.

Workshop three: Doing what comes naturally… Rapport building
Building and maintaining a good rapport with your team, your customers, your suppliers and the wider world is particularly important for business growth. So, in this session you will have the chance to take part in – or watch – a rapport-building exercise. You will also receive an introduction to accredited DISC personality profiling, with insights into both the administering and the interpretation of the questionnaire. You will also be provided with an overview of NLP, as a taster of what techniques are available for developing enhanced rapport.

Workshop four: Two ears and one mouth… Better Communication
Like rapport building, your communication is vital to your business success. In this final session, you will learn what great communicators do, and how they make it different. You will explore the importance of aligning words and feelings to ensure your comments are authentic and land as intended. You will also work on a resilience test, which will provide you with some concrete results to take away and develop further.

Each workshop is based on a three-hour session and includes valuable content and takeaways which you can embed into your own organisation straightaway.

The full programme of 4 workshops costs £700 including refreshments.

CHALLENGE TEAM

Following the completion of the Challenge programme, delegates are invited to join Challenge Team. Challenge Team has more of a focus on peer group working, quarterly workshops and an annual retreat.

Some of the topics covered, will include:

• Developing a vision which inspire excitement, trust and the will to follow
• Level 5 leadership and teamwork – people first, tactics second
• Achieving lift-off to break through long standing barriers and inertia
• Flow and ensuring the sustainability of high performance.

Each workshop will run from 10:00 – 17:00 and will include morning presentations and discussions, with valuable content and takeaways, which you can embed into your own organisation straightaway. Following a working lunch, the afternoon sessions will include a focus on individual company issues.

Challenge Team costs £1500 for the year and includes working lunches.

Learning doesn’t happen overnight, but in the case of my Barnhill Retreat, it does!
