With apologies to Kenneth Wolstenholme – the football commentator on the 1966 World Cup final – they thought Barnhill Consulting’s workshops were all over in November 2019. Well, they were wrong!
A new challenge
We’re kicking off the Challenge 22 series of four events, with the first one taking place on 25 November. Our venue is a beautifully rural and calm setting in North Wales – the Pant-yr-Ochain, a renowned restaurant and country pub in Gresford that is a former manor house.
At this first workshop, I’m going to be helping delegates to fully embrace the notion that the use of soft skills is entirely rewarding – and is in no way whatsoever indicative of weakness. Soft skills, which are also known as power skills, common skills or core skills, are skills that are applicable to all professions. These attributes, which are beneficial to business, include communication, teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability and leadership, among many others.
Coaching in action
By participating in a live demonstration and interactive exercises, you will get the chance to see coaching in action and also have the opportunity to have a go yourself. Sign-ups already indicate we’re going to have a wonderfully diverse group of MDs and Leaders, who share that elusive thirst for lifelong learning and a real desire to improve performance – for the benefit of everyone involved in their business.
I’m very excited by this whole process and can’t wait to get the ball rolling again, after it was unceremoniously stopped in November 2019.
