I have over 40 years business experience, and within that, I have wide-ranging expertise in international trade, having spent time living and working abroad, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa.

In addition to my commercial and business skills and experience – including three years as chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Cheshire and holding a fellowship with the IoD – I am also an accredited GrowthAccelerator Coach, qualified NLP Practitioner, and an accredited Corporate and Executive Coach.

Over the last 20 years I have successfully run my own business, Barnhill Consulting. This experience has enabled me to develop my natural rapport-building ability. I have built a skillset around transformation of the potential in a business leader into a real game-changer. Coaching has helped me unlock skills in individuals, which even they did not know they possessed. Bringing about huge increases in confidence and vision has enabled my clients to progress to a point, which at the start of the journey together, would simply have been considered fanciful.

More recently, I am reaching a far greater number of clients by offering workshops and strategy development peer groups, which produce great results by the wider sharing of knowledge and experience. Although the majority of my work is 121 coaching, there is a growing tendency to look beyond those confines and explore different approaches. I am finding this especially useful for clients in today’s market conditions where adaptability and mental resilience are becoming essential to a business leader’s toolkit.
